The Importance of an "R" Stamp

When repairing boilers and pressure vessels, the quality of materials and workmanship is as important to the final product as it is in the initial construction. For this reason, the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors established a uniform standard of quality for repairs and alterations. The "R" (Repair) Symbol Stamp certifies that repairs made on ASME Code boilers or pressure vessels are in accordance with the National Board Inspection Code (NIBC) and municipal regulations.
